Dr. Jordan Dittberner

Dr. Jordan Dittberner, a Mahtomedi native and resident, brings his passion for creating confident smiles to Lake Area Dental in White Bear Lake. After earning his B.A. in Physiology from the University of Minnesota, he went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the prestigious University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Since beginning his dental career in 2018, Dr. Jordan has dedicated himself to improving his patient's health and overall well-being through comprehensive dental care.

As a firm believer in collaborative care, Dr. Jordan works closely with his team and patients to achieve optimal oral health outcomes. His commitment to building lasting relationships with his patients has become a cornerstone of his practice philosophy at Lake Area Dental.

When he's not helping patients achieve their dream smiles, Dr. Jordan stays active with golf, hockey, biking, and running. He's also a proud father to five children, including two sets of twins!

Dr. Thomas Hauge

Dr. Thomas Hauge brings nearly three decades of dental expertise to Lake Area Dental, following in the footsteps of his father's dedication to oral healthcare. A 1996 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, Dr. Tom has spent his career building meaningful relationships with patients while delivering exceptional dental care.

At Lake Area Dental, Dr. Tom takes pride in getting to know his patients, their families, and their stories. He creates a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who visits. His approach to dentistry combines his extensive experience with a genuine passion for patient care.

When he's not crafting healthy smiles, you can find Dr. Tom cheering on his daughters' basketball teams or enjoying Minnesota's outdoor activities through hunting and fishing. A former college athlete himself in both football and baseball, he now surprises and delights patients with his lesser-known talent—performing magic tricks!

Dr. Janae Momchilovich

Dr. Janae brings her lifelong passion for dentistry to Lake Area Dental, where she combines artistic vision with scientific expertise to help patients achieve their healthiest smiles. After earning her biology degree from Marquette University, she completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery at Marquette University School of Dentistry, followed by advanced training at the Dallas VA Hospital.

Dr. Janae finds joy in building personal relationships with her patients while helping them improve their oral health and self-confidence. Her approach to dentistry stems from a childhood dream that evolved into a deep appreciation for the perfect blend of art and science in dental care.

When she's not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Janae can be found enjoying Minnesota's lakes in the summer, exploring hiking trails, or indulging in the local restaurant scene. A former pianist and alto saxophonist, she now stays active by playing volleyball with her husband.

Hollis

Office Manager

Hollis has been in the dental field for over 20 years. 10 years of dental assisting and 10 years of office management. She is a graduate of Herzing University where she received her associates degree in dental assisting.

At Lake Area Dental, Hollis is known for her positive guidance with employees and patients. She takes joy in helping others with their dental and financial needs.

Outside of the office you'll find her enjoying her cabin with family and friends. She particularly enjoys riding the trails in her side by side. Hollis is a proud mother of her daughter, McKenzie who is also following in her mother's footsteps and perusing the dental field.

Rachelle

Dental Hygienist

Rachelle Haanpaa has created healthy, beautiful smiles at Lake Area Dental since 2018. A graduate of Lakeland Medical/Dental Academy and Century College's Dental Hygiene program, she brings over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist.

Known for her gentle touch and warm personality, Rachelle excels at putting patients at ease while providing personalized care. She finds joy in building lasting relationships with patients and their families, making each dental visit a comfortable and positive experience.

Outside of crafting beautiful smiles, Rachelle maintains an active lifestyle through regular Pilates sessions and explores her passion for culinary arts by cooking and discovering new restaurants in the area. She particularly enjoys entertaining and sharing her cooking creations with others. When seeking adventure, you might find her behind the wheel of a side-by-side, indulging her love of fast driving. At home, she enjoys quiet moments with her beloved dog, Edward.

Kristen

Dental Hygienist

Graduated spring of 2025 from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene, Kristen brings a strong academic background and the latest evidence-based practices to patient care. Now licensed and ready to provide thorough, compassionate clinical service.

Kristen is known for her gentle touch and clear communication. She’s skilled in oral assessments, cleanings, radiographs, and charting. Passionate about patient education, she focuses on empowering individuals to understand their oral health and build sustainable habits.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys walking her two dogs, Stella and Dolce, perfecting her golf swing and trying out new courses, baking sweet treats, and unwinding with a good book!

Mandy

Licensed Dental Assistant

A licensed dental assistant since 1997, Mandy brings over 25 years of expertise and dedication to Lake Area Dental. A graduate of Lakeland Dental Academy, she has built her career on a foundation of professionalism, precision, and genuine compassion for patient care. Her extensive experience with dental procedures and technology allows her to provide exceptional care while keeping patients comfortable and informed.

Mandy finds her greatest reward in helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles and making a positive impact on their daily lives. Her detail-oriented nature and skilled hands, combined with her warm personality, help put patients at ease while ensuring the highest quality of care.

When she's not caring for patients, Mandy enjoys traveling to sunny destinations and taking motorcycle trips with her partner Troy. She stays active at the gym and creates healthy, high-protein meals with her daughter. Early mornings find her energized and ready to start the day, usually accompanied by her blue-eyed shadow, her dog Merly.

McKenzie

Certified Licensed Dental Assistant

McKenzie is a licensed and certified dental assistant who graduated from Herzing University in 2024. Inspired by her family’s footsteps in the dental field, McKenzie has always felt drawn to dentistry and the opportunity to help others feel confident in their smiles. She is passionate about providing high-quality patient care and creating a welcoming, comfortable experience for every individual who walks through the door.

In the office, McKenzie is often found up front greeting patients, answering phones, and helping guide their visit from the moment they arrive. She takes pride in being someone patients can rely on for kindness, clarity, and support—whether she is explaining treatment steps, assisting with scheduling, or helping chairside when needed. McKenzie is also continuing her education to become a dental hygienist, further honoring her family’s path and expanding her ability to make a positive impact on patients’ oral health.

Outside of work, McKenzie enjoys embracing the outdoors and spending time doing the things that keep her grounded. She loves heading up north, ice fishing, riding side-by-sides, and going hunting—anything that allows her to unwind and enjoy the fresh air. These moments bring balance to her busy schedule and fuel her passion for helping others feel confident and cared for.
